Robert & William Carr-Hartley operate personal, tailor-made safaris throughout Africa, with particular focus on Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda but also including Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. Drawing on 40 years of combined experience, they specialise in exclusive Luxury Mobile Tented Safaris, taking guests to the very best parks, reserves, private game reserves and tribal community wildlife reserves.

The Luxury Mobile Tented Safaris comprise 10 tons of camping equipment with every amenity you could ask for in a mobile camp, including 35 foot long tents, en-suite showers and toilets, electric lights, full size beds, and a huge dining/living tent. The safari staff, normally numbering 15, mobilise the camp into a chosen destination national park or game reserve before the guest’s arrival, making it into their very own exclusive lodge under canvas in a corner of pristine Africa.

Each destination is carefully chosen to maximize the African experience based on discussions with the guests during the itinerary creation period. These itineraries are designed to give one the greatest possible variety in wildlife, landscapes, activities, fun and adventure - and even the chance to spend time with some of the tribal peoples. These itineraries are all based on your personal preferences and ideals.

During these months the weather is consistently warm with cooler nights and low humidity, but varies slightly depending on your location. The occasional afternoon shower can be expected which settles the dust.
