Si Datu Bua is the inspired replica of the famed Indonesian trading vessels known as “Phinisi” – superbly hand crafted from carefully selected raw materials, her 40 metres embodies the spirit and soul of south east Asia. The design of Si Datu Bua’s interiors are drawn from the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the islands of Sulawesi (Celebes), Banda (original home of the nutmeg) and the Toraja people of south Sulawesi – all with exquisite attention to detail.
With three spacious, air-conditioned cabin suites, Si Datu Bua will take up to 6 guests on “once in a life-time” journeys throughout Indonesia, encompassing all the romance of the ancient Spice Island Trade Routes that commenced with the famed Banda Islands, home of the once revered and highly-prized nutmeg.
